Henry Boot Developments has commenced on site with the speculative construction of new industrial/warehouse accommodation at Thorne Park, near Doncaster. The developer has confirmed that units will be available for occupation as soon as summer this year with scheme completion due by September.
Thorne Park comprises over 150,000 sq. ft. of prime industrial and warehouse space with units available from 3,550 sq. ft. up to 45,000 sq ft. The units are being built to a high quality and specification with the layout and design remaining flexible to suit occupier requirements. The buildings will be very energy efficient, with rooftop solar panels, achieving a BREEAM ‘very good’ rating.
Offered for sale or to let, the industrial and warehouse units include fitted offices and yard areas, with on-site amenities including a Marston’s restaurant/pub. This new facility will be joined by two drive through restaurants, new food and non-food retailers and a petrol filling station in the coming months.
Henry Boot Developments recently secured a £6.45 million grant from the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF) to enable delivery of this final phase of Thorne Park, which is strategically located at Junction 6 off the M18 with immediate access to the motorway network.
Vivienne Clements, director of Henry Boot Developments Limited met with the Mayor of Doncaster Ros Jones and Cllr Joe Blackham to commemorate the start on site.
